Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the human resource management activities of the company.\\u00a0 These responsibilities include but are not limited to: supporting the company's mission\\/vision\\/goals; effective communication with executive management and employees; engagement\\/retention; consistent application of approved Human Resources policies; proactive regulatory compliance. Job Responsibilities: Proactively and timely provides the executive team with optional solutions to issues as they emerge. Develops recommendations and options for improving human resources management effectiveness, including achieving the highest level of employee engagement. Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices on human resources matters. Clears new policies, procedures or revisions to existing policies and procedures through the Executive team Partner with senior management on business issues that directly\\u00a0impact employees. Partner with department stakeholders to make salary adjustments, and compensation updates for personnel at all levels. Headcount (FTE) report by department, current quarter end versus prior quarter end, and change in count, and payroll, if possible. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. Makes timely recommendations for improvement or revisions where needed. Communicates changes in human resources policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities and needs related to human resources matters. Provides day-to-day support in all functional areas of Human Resources by complying with employment laws and company guidelines. Acts as a liaison with employees to provide assistance and clarification regarding disability management needs (FMLA, STD, LTD, Workers' Compensation). Oversees claims for workers compensation, disability, and unemployment insurance to ensure timely resolution. Responds to requests from government agencies and provides annual reporting to the Controller. Completes annual year end reporting by April 30th of year following plan year end to ensure timely completion of Form 5500 by 401k provider. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and recommends improvements. Develops and maintains an affirmative action plan. Files EEO-1 annually, maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Handles the day-to-day employee relations and maintains positive relationships. Identifies needs and makes recommendations related to improvement of internal communications processes.\\u00a0 Effectively manages associate relations issues related to investigations and conflict resolution. Assists the Executive Team with reviewing the benefits package.\\u00a0 Educates management (and employees) in changes in benefit plans as needed.\\u00a0 Maintains a strict standard of confidentiality in handling company and employee sensitive information, reports and correspondence.\\u00a0 Gains trust with all levels of employees, including management, to be an effective consultant maximizing performance and engagement. Develops and implements Human Resource policies and procedures and disseminate through associate communications and\\/or meetings. Establishes and maintains human resources records and reports. Participates in management staff meetings and attends other meetings as required.\\u00a0 Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.\\u00a0 Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Manage the drug-free workforce program, scheduling random drug screens, etc. Education and Experience Required Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent work experience. PHR\\/SPHR certification preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a human resource role, including hands-on employee relations (including but not limited to investigations, employment law, wage & hour, FMLA\\/ADA regulations and compliance, etc.).\\u00a0 Experience in the development of an Affirmative Action Plan preferred. Experience with an IT company is preferred.
